About This Work

Original work - 3 big paintings (triptych) in contemporary pop art style from hungarian artist Janos Kujbus. Story about artwork: "Sometimes I feel we live a strange life. We don't even notice and spend less time in personal conversations and meetings with loved ones and friends. Instead, a mobile becomes our closest companion. We wake up with him, have breakfast with him, accompany us to school, work, date, lie next to us when we make love with a partner, go to the cinema, fall asleep with him ... . Then we select the photo we look at (or at least think it is) as a movie star and fast it to all social networks. We naively think that all of our friends, friends and pseudo friends are waiting for the moment they notice that we have made our selfie ... We take new and new selfie every day, we have hundreds of them in the mobile ... We watch them and we admire our own "perfection". We look at ourselves instead of sometimes looking at ourselves. To see each other as we really are. However, we only look at the photos and lose our identity. Well, not everyone, there are exceptions, like the boy in the middle picture ... He didn't lose himself. Despite not having a cell phone ... " Despite the fact that Janos Kujbus belongs to the younger generation of Hungarian fine artists, we can rightly place his work among the top works of contemporary European art. His figurative paintings in the style of modern pop art amaze not only their size (often exceeding two meters), but also the peculiarities of their form and content. On the big canvases unfold before us the everyday stories of today's human, often searching for the fulfillment of his life in the chaotic world. Janos Kujbus's paintings are especially suited to modern interiors. They give them originality, uniqueness and charm.
