Artist Statement:
Born and educated in Bucharest - Romania, living and working in England.
My deep interest in people and human relationships reflects in my art through drawings and paintings.
Sensual, delicate and emotional posture of female nudes or couples, they are subjects just coming out of my mind or they are inspired by images I see every day.
Powerful feelings, as love and passion, are expressed through my energetic and spontaneous style of work.
Multi media artist using different techniques.
My works could be more or less simplified, depends how I feel about the subject and media.
I create series of works at the time, as paintings or drawings. Generally I like to alternate the media and the subjects. This way, I think, I can keep the spontaneity and the freshness.
Expressive composition and harmonious colours are basic for my works.
My paintings are usually bold, colourful and textured,
using more often the palette knife.
In my drawings I mainly work with charcoal, feeling free to play with lines, shapes and tonalities. It is a sort of process of modelling with lines.
I create my works to carry the message of artistic beauty, harmony and happiness.
