Description

My art process begins with mixed media placed on several sheets of translucent mylar. I use photo transfer, acrylic, watercolour and pencil. The layered artwork is backlit and then photographed to merge it together into 1 layer.

The final image is printed onto archival paper and mounted between thick sheets of clear acrylic. The top sheet is 1/2" thick and the back sheet is 1/8" thick. Clear, square, acrylic tubes are attached to the back which makes the artwork appear like it is floating about 3/4" away from the wall. The art is ready to hang with holes drilled into the tubes.
