  • Does Zatista curate it's marketplace?

    Yes. In order to ensure a quality experience for Zatista buyers, all Artists and Galleries must be reviewed and approved by Zatista's Art Review Board.

  • What criteria does Zatista use to review artists?

    When our Art Review Board considers accounts, there are many factors taken into consideration. We understand that reviewing work can be a very subjective process and that decisions can sometimes seem arbitrary. However, our overall goal is simply to provide a robust selection of high quality artwork to prospective buyers across a ranges of mediums and styles.

    Besides reviewing the work itself, another factor that may affect a decision is overall presentation of your profile, store, and artwork. By this we mean that photographs of your works should be clear and representative without extraneous objects or lighting glare. Your profile should be clear, informative, and well written and your store banner and message should be nicely created.

    Finally, the overall balance of different types of work available on the site may factor into a decision. We work hard to keep a healthy balance of different medium (paintings vs. photographs, etc) as well as styles which can sometimes lead to a decision to not to accept an artist.

  • How do artists and galleries get accepted to Zatista?

    Once an artist or gallery has completed their initial profile and listed a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 works for sale, they may request approval by email the Zatista Art Review Board at [email protected]. Our review process generally takes 3-5 business days and artists and galleries will be notified with a decision at that time.

  • Is there a cost to submit work for review?

    No. There is no cost to create an account and request review. If accepted, there are no monthly fees or charges. Zatista charges a simple commission fee of 45% only when the item is sold.

  • What do I need to do to submit myself for review?

    In order to ensure a high quality experience for Zatista buyers we require all artists and galleries go through our review process.

  • How long does it take to be reviewed?

    The Artist Review Board curates artists once per month, typically within the first week of the month. Artists are typically notified a week after the review is held.

  • What if I submit less than three works for review in my submission?

    If you do not submit at least three works, your review will likely not be processed. By submitting at least three works the review board will be able to get a better sense of your overall portfolio which will help them to make a more informed decision.

  • Why can't I see my store or my images when I search on Zatista?

    While you are awaiting approval, your account is in pending status. This means that you are able to add works to your account as well as create and manage your profile and store. However, while in pending status, your works and store are not viewable to buyers and visitors of the site. Once approved your account will be activated and your store and works will go live.

  • Once I am approved, what else do I need to do?

    Once you are approved, we recommend the following:

    • Add additional works to your account to provide buyers a chance to see and purchase your full portfolio.
    • Spread the word that you are a new Zatista artist - use Facebook, Twitter and other services to let your friends know the great news.
    • Add "Buy on Zatista" buttons to your blog so visitors can easily purchase works from you 24/7.
  • If I am not approved what happens to my account?

    If you are not approved your account is deactivated and your information is removed from the site. There are no additional actions that you need to take.
