Buying FAQs: General Buying

  • What happens if I forget my password?

    If you forget your password you can request to have your password resent by going to our reset password page.

  • Why can't I sign in?

    If you are unable to sign-in, most likely it is one of two issues: 1) You are not yet registered or 2) You have not yet confirmed your email address.

    If you have not yet registered, you may register at anytime. Registration is quick and free and will allow you access to features like favorite artists as well as the ability to ask artists and galleries questions about their artwork. Register Now.

    If you have already registered but cannot login, you may not have confirmed your email address yet. Until your email address is confirmed by clicking on the link in the email you received after registering, you will not be able to login. If you cannot find the confirmation email, check your "Spam" or "Junk-Mail" folder in your email client. This is one of the first places to look for our registration confirmation e-mail if you did not receive it upon registration.

    If you need to have the registration confirmation email resent, please login with your username and password. If your e-mail hasn't been confirmed, the page will provide a link to have it resent.

    To prevent missing important emails from Zatista in the future, you may add [email protected] and [email protected] to your "safe list", or your address book.

  • Are there any costs associated with becoming a buyer on Zatista such as a membership fee?

    No. There are no fees to become a buyer on Zatista.

  • Do I have to register with Zatista in order to purchase on the site?

    Yes. If you wish to purchase an item on Zatista, you will need to register. The site will quickly guide you through signup during the checkout process. It takes only takes a few moments and we'll have you up and running before you know it. Registering is not required to browse the site.

  • Do I need to be registered in order to ask a seller a question about a specific work of art?

    Yes, in order to use our buyer and seller communication feature, you will need to be a registered user of the site.

  • Can I change my username?

    Your Zatista username cannot be changed except in the event of documented legal action (such as trademark infringement) and only at Zatista's discretion. For this reason, please take a moment before you choose a username and before you register.

    When selecting a username it is important to remember that only one e-mail address may be used with each username. You may not re-use your email address if it is already assigned to a your current username.

  • I am a buyer and also an artist, do I need to register twice?

    If you initially registered as a buyer, you will need to create a new account under a different email. If you registered as an artist, you may use that account to make purchases.

    In the event that you created a buyer account with an email address that you would like to use for an artist account you will need to change the email address on your buyer account before registering with that email address (only one account may be created with the same email address). You can change your email address in the Profile/Account section of My Account.

  • How are your artists and galleries selected?

    All of our artists and galleries submit their work to Zatista's art review team. Selection is based on a number of criteria, but not limited to quality of the work, overall presentation, and inventory mix on the site at a given time. We do our best to provide our buyers with a wide range of fine and contemporary art and photography from talented artists around the world.

    If you know of an artist whose work you feel should appear on Zatista, please send them a note about Zatista and have them sign-up for review. Zatista reviews new artist submissions and galleries on a rolling basis.
