Artist Statement:
I am interested in re-consecrating and re-mythologizing as many images as I can. Consequently, my work references God, gods and goddesses, myths and their intersection with regular every-day humans. I often look at skin and the interior of the torso, where breath begins and ends life-- I believe the heart and breath is what animates art. We all touch above our heart when we speak of ourselves.Making art, I get in touch with who I am and who we are, therefore re-consecrating the human search for meaning in our busy lives; it is a peaceful place to be. I want to share the art and the sensation of the place where we create art.
