| Artist Statement: | Our hectic, complex lives are filled with tension. Karen's paintings are intended as resting places filled with tranquility, balance and harmony. Her latest paintings, the Etherea series, are serene, lyrical, atmospheric abstractions that offer luminosity and mystery. The pieces are layered translucently in search of nuance and depth. It’s a process of improvisation, experimentation, revision and intuition. And the result has been described as poetry. |
