| Artist Statement: | “Capturing Nature's Beauty” is my goal in painting. Landscapes, Seascapes, Florals, Still Life, all with the same goal in mind—to put onto canvas the beauty of nature that unfolds in front of us daily, capturing the moments in time as I lay the paint onto canvas. My hope is to never forget the beauty of each day, or maybe just a moment, and enabling my collectors to share this beauty with me. Growing in my artistic career I have learned to appreciate the small beauties in the world around me, learned to see beauty where I may not have seen it before. Like the different shades of green – too numerous to count –in a field on the side of a road, or the endless shades of blues in the crashing ocean, the grays and pinks in the sky, where I once saw a sky as simply blue! Oil painting is a challenge that I love, laying these thick, beautiful colors onto the canvas, a challenge I really don’t think I’ll ever tire of. |

| Artistic Influences: | In 2011, I was in a Mentoring Program with Professional Artist, Kevin MacPherson. Since he taught me thru specific assignments and critiqued my work on a monthly basis, I'd have to say that he definitely "influenced" my work! |
