| Artist Statement: | Frank DeSantis, photographer, art director and artist. His photographic work has been shown throughout the United States including Hawaii, Oregon, Texas, and Pennsylvania. And his photos have been published in newspapers and magazines alike. His photos have won awards as well as stirred controversy for some of his offbeat themes. But, it has gained him many accolades from teachers and peers. This body of work on Italy is a collection of images created while in Italy in 1998. The photographs were taken within a four-week period in four different cities: Florence, Milan, Rome and Venice. The photos here are just a small sampling of the over 30 rolls of film used for the series. |
