| Artist Statement: | As an artist, I am most moved by the human struggle through life: the delicate balance between joy and anger, black, gray and white, and the interaction of humankind with the rest of the world. I paint and draw landscapes, which convey human emotions that are difficult to explain in words. I enjoy comparing the complex human emotional thought process to acts of nature such as storms, changing of the seasons, or the birth of a child. My work explores humanity’s place in this world and how our emotions can link us to the rest of the natural universe. My style is considered modern pop, but I like to think of it as anthropological observations. |
