| Artist Statement: | My works are all limited edition serigraphs, or silkscreen prints, hand printed by me in small editions. I draw my images by hand and then create hand-cut stencils to separate the colors for repeated printings (usually between twelve and twenty color processes for each image). My inks are mixed with a transparent base to allow for the visual "blending" of overlaid tones, creating an effect somewhat like well-controlled watercolors. I love working with color relationships and exploring the possibilities of light and shadow. I also love to travel, and my landscape serigraphs have been inspired by scenes that have delighted me, both in foreign countries and around the U.S. |
