| Artist Statement: | Mink has been called “one of Ithaca's most exciting and unpredictable painters.” Mink was born in Buffalo, New York. A Summa cum Laude graduate of SUNY Buffalo, she moved to Ithaca, New York in 1976 where she pursued a PhD in Comparative Literature, was a freelance actor in television and radio commercials, News Director of a radio station, and received an MA degree in History from Cornell University in 1986. In 2001 she founded and ran the Light in Winter Festival of Science and Art in Ithaca for ten years. She is an active member of the State of the Art Gallery in Ithaca and the Greater Ithaca Art Trail, as well as the Buffalo Society of Artists and the Western NY Artists Guild, and is represented by Indigo Art Consultants in England. |
