| Artist Statement: | I approach each painting trying to capture the mood of the light or the shapes highlights create. All my works are done with oils, but using them very 'thin', on unstretched canvas. The process includes a 'rub and scrub' application of paint and then then a removal method using different materials, including paper towels, brushes and cloth, while the medium is still wet. This approach creates soft, moody and inviting paintings with vibrant color. |
