| Artist Statement: | The human population as a whole usually has some intact appreciation for art preinstalled. To see and view a work of art draws some sort of emotion from inside. As an artist that is the feeling that builds little by little, repeatedly, while we "work." What I love about painting is being able to take the time and realize what I am looking at, understanding and exploring every shadow, value, and highlight. My subject matter is very much based on curiosity. Certain things I look at and wonder about, so I paint, understand, and accept or change based on interest level. |
