| Artist Statement: | Renown street artist dbase graces us with some of his own quirky pieces, originals and fine art prints available for purchase through Ninjaprints. dbase has been on the street art scene since 2002. He started out painting simple one layer stencils in the derelict warehouses along the river Usk and the myriad of side alleys in Cardiff. After a few years he began to produce larger and more elaborate pieces on anything he could paint on. He eventually graduated to full blown murals and canvass pieces. His socio-political commentary was inspired by cctv imagery from very early on in his career, and have created the characters he paints today. His other inspirations come from underground culture and the pop art movement. "I look at a dirty wall and see a blank canvass, we shouldn't have to see our communities left to stagnate. We should all try and enhance our communities where ever we can" |
| Exhibitions: | Numerous exhibitions across London and his pieces are often to be spotted on walls, alcoves and buildings across the UK. |
