| Artist Statement: | Deborah Cushman has been painting full-time for fifteen years. She holds a BFA from UC Berkeley and an MFA from Columbia University. She is primarily a plein air landscape painter but extends into figures and abstracts, and occasional combinations of the three forms. She is always aware, on some level, of the influence of her mentor and Berkeley professor Elmer Bischoff. Deborah currently lives and paints in Sonoma County, California. |
