| Artist Statement: | I create art because I love the journey! I choose to paint abstracts because I love the colors, marks, textures and shapes I can make without visual limitations. Each choice I make affects what I have already done, as well as what I am going to do. Sometimes, I create unintentional roadblocks with my choices and have to work to resolve the surface to an ending that satisfies me and gives results that I can enjoy and am willing to share with others. The process is an internal discussion between the surface and me. Like life, this "dialogue with my surface," is uncertain, outcome unknown. |
