In The World 2: Sangin and Montauk is part of my "Issues of Our Time" series.  This contrasts a scene of beauty and serenity in America with the terror of events in Afghanistan. I hope the viewer will be able to connect with what is going on "In The World." Here is a British soldier on foot patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan. The model for the figure is a press photo by Joao Silva. The sunset was in Montauk, New York.

This is acrylic on stretched canvas on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides. A frame is not necessary. The painting is signed and dated on the back.
