This painting was completed in 2011. It is painted in Acrylic on paper. It is double matted in beige and grey in an 8 by 10 size. The painting is titled Slow Day. It was painted right before a rain storm in Maine where I live. It was that quiet time before a rain when the sky is overcast, but still has a lot of light in it. It was the kind of day in which you want to take a nap and slow down. The sky and the water reflect the overcast day. The painting was done in early spring before the trees leaf out and life bursts out everywhere.
