This is the first work in a new series that is inspired by the trees along a walking path that I frequent that runs along Prickett's Creek in Marion County, WV. There are nine trees (that are labeled) along the trail and I will be doing a "portrait" of each one. The first is of the last tree on the trail, the yellow poplar.

The piece features bold, expressive poured acrylic paint coupled with luscious oil paint and crayon.

* IIMPORTANT: Due to size, this piece comes unstretched and mailed in a puncture and moisture resistant Poly Mailers. It is intended to be presented on a stretcher, would need to be restretched, but would require no frame, if you prefer a gallery wrap presentation. A frame shop can restretch easily


My award-winning art has been exhibited in many juried exhibitions and museums. My work belongs in the WV State Museum permanent collection, as well as private collections throughout the United States. My solo exhibition has recently been on display at the Slingluff Gallery in Philadephia, PA and Redbrick Gallery in Martinsburg, WV.
