This was a rare instance where I painted something that actually happened. Some friends were over, and I was introducing them to my roommate's parrot, and when it passed between their hands, it suddenly struck me as such a lovely metaphor for the unspoken communication that occurs in a relationship. Also, the lighting was really lovely at the time. |
