It was a summer evening, just before sunset, and I was people-watching at an outdoor concert when this radiant couple walked past my lens. He was rock-star handsome, and she was beautiful in a tunic and pants that flowed and shimmered in the breeze as she walked. I snapped a few shots, knowing I'd paint them.

This 11 x 7 inch painting is on Multimedia Artboard, an archival artist surface which is about the thickness of lightweight cardboard. Despite its light weight, it's tougher than canvas and won't expand/shrink with changes in humidity, like fabric would. With a stiff backing board, the painting can be framed without glass. Or, if you want, you can mat it and put it under glass.
