Who We Are
Founder & CEO
With the birth of Zatista, Pete has returned to his creative beginnings armed with 15 years of broad internet experience, an inspired idea and the passion to put it into practice.
Pete began his creative career in film production in Los Angeles, working in television, commercials, and feature films. Then as a cameraman and member of the International Photographers Guild, he worked on television shows such as Will and Grace, as well as independent films and commercials.
Shifting gears in Philadelphia, Pete made a move into the internet world when he took a position with CDNOW. From there, Pete joined Half.com eventually serving as Director of Product Management, all the while continuing to gain insight into building effective online products. In 2000 when Half.com was acquired by eBay, Pete transitioned there, becoming a valuable asset to the company and acquiring experience in virtually every area of the eBay marketplace. He was integral to making eBay’s product measurably more efficient, user-friendly and profitable.
In early 2008, Pete joined Dayak Inc. as their Vice President of Customer Experience immersing himself in a start-up environment again. After this, Pete felt an irresistible draw to put his full attention to his own expression of creativity – Zatista. He recognized a need for a marketplace where anyone can find and own a unique art piece, at a variety of price points. And by providing this place through Zatista, more artists can make their life’s passion a sustainable business as well.
Pete has a wonderful wife, three young boys, a golden retriever, and a job he loves.

Randy's role at Zatista is a perfect combination of his extensive internet experience and incurable passion for collecting art.
Prior to joining Zatista, Randy was a business marketing and strategy consultant to various Internet start-ups for 3 years. Before that, Randy spent 6 years at eBay in senior management roles leading inventory acquisition and supply efforts in their entertainment categories (books, movies and music). His subsequent role in eBay's Motors division involved building out and managing key supply relationships.
Before joining eBay, Randy was an early employee of Half.com which was acquired by eBay in June of 2000. Randy was integral to the success of Half.com’s business development and account acquisition team which was responsible for identifying, and managing inventory supply levels. Half.com launched in January 2000 with over one million items for sale across its book, music and movie categories.
Over 10 years in the internet sector has given Randy extensive understanding of the benefits and challenges particular to successfully doing business online. His personal connection to art comes from his mother who is an artist, as well as his own ever-expanding art collection. His firm belief is that original art should be appreciated and accessible to anyone with an interest in it, and that the beauty of creating this environment on the internet is the incredibly effective and simple way it can connect buyers and sellers.
