Help & Support
Payments & Profiles
Do you charge the same commission to
both artists and galleries?
Yes. Zatista charges a flat commission rate of 45% on any items sold through Zatista whether sold by an individual artist, gallery, or a listing agent. Zatista does not charge listing or membership fees.
How do I get paid?
When you sell an item, Zatista collects payment from the buyer and holds that payment until we have confirmed delivery of the artwork. At that point, we send a payment to your PayPal account for the sale. You will not be charged any additional PayPal fees when you receive this payment.
During your artist or gallery registration, you will be asked to supply a valid PayPal email address. This is the account we will use to deposit funds from the sale of your art.
- What if I don't have a PayPal
Don't worry, signing up for PayPal is easy and free. Any type of PayPal account is fine for receiving payments from Zatista. When you receive payments from Zatista into your PayPal account, there will not be any additional fees from PayPal applied.
Creating An Artist Profile
What should be included in an artist
Your artist profile is the most important tool to let prospective buyers know about you. Please be as thorough as possible when filling out your profile.
We have provided various sections as a guide to help you complete a good profile. If you have information that you think Zatista members might be interested in but are not sure where to put it, feel free to use the artist statement area to expand on your profile.
- Where can I put my biography?
The various sections of the profile are meant to create a good "biography" but feel free to use the artist statement section to provide additional biographical information that you think would be useful for Zatista members.
- Why is it important to have a good
Zatista, unlike many other art sites online, seeks to bring together artists with prospective art buyers looking for great original artwork. We work hard to ensure a given buyer is not simply one of among thousands of different people purchasing the same reproduction of a given work. We feel strongly that a very important part of buying something original and one-of-a-kind is knowing about the creator of the work.
Your profile gives prospective art buyers a way to connect with you and understand a little bit about your influences, experience, and what makes you tick as an artist. Knowing this brings extended meaning to the art they buy as well as a personal connection to you, the artist.
- Can I edit my profile?
Yes. You can edit your profile at any time. In fact we encourage you to keep it up to date with any new exhibitions, additional education, or even just a new photo.
- Where can I see my Zatista "store"?
We are currently still putting the finishing touches on your Zatista store. In the coming weeks you will be able to preview your store. When this becomes available, we will notify you so you can complete your store set up.
- Is my contact information made public
on the Zatista site, or my Zatista Artist Profile?
In order to protect the privacy of our community, we allow contact information to be exchanged between a buyer and seller once a sale has been made. Posting contact information within a listing, or on an artist profile page violates the Zatista User Agreement and action will be taken to remove the listing, or the seller from the site depending on the nature of the violation.
Personal information in your artist profile, or on your "Item Detail" page (i.e.- e-mail, phone number, PayPal address, and street address) is not shown publicly.
