This Is What January Looks Like

Lake In Early Spring by Marc Todd Painting, Acrylic on Canvas 24.0 inch (61.0 cm) x 35.8 inch (91.0 cm) $908

January – sometimes cold and grey. Some bursts of springtime to come. Cool colors, linear shadows of tree branches without leaves. Although January skies can be brooding in the Northern Hemisphere, there is beauty to this quiet month as well. A sense of renewal and rejuvenation steadily courses below the surface of things, hinting at livelier times ahead. Believe it or not, January is a month I look forward to. There is a peacefulness that is unique to January that you just don’t come across in any other month of the year. Here’s to you, Winter!
