Artist Warren Keating states, “The style of this original painting reflects a type of mark making that I have invented, Pixelated Impressionism, where the expressive swashes of paint depict the pixels from and movement of the original digital video reference image.” This abstraction through viewpoint and technique creates an image that is elevated beyond everyday subject matter.</p>

<div class="auctionsectioncontent"><img class="alignleft" style="margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" title="Warren Keating" src="http://www.zatista.com/auctions/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/artist-preview_47.jpg" alt="" width="91" height="90"/>California artist Warren Keating combines video and paint to depict figures in motion in his signature style, Pixel Impressionism. A native of New Orleans and a graduate of Otis College of Art &amp; Design, his current work reflects the culmination of 25 years of both figure and landscape painting.</div>
<div class="auctionsectioncontent">Keating has had numerous solo shows in the U.S. and Mexico, including a special exhibit sponsored by the governor of Oaxaca. His work has been published in art books, national magazines, and an interview with the artist was featured on CNN.</div>
<div class="auctionsectioncontent">Keating’s latest series, Overview, was selected as an LA Times Calendar pick and won awards at juried exhibits at Long Beach Arts and the Visual Arts Society of Texas. His work is found in collections all over the world. A blending of painting styles and voyeurism, we are excited about the color, movement, and intrinsic narrative of these figurative works.
